NAA & NAAEI Elections

NAAEI Vice President Elections 

The NAAEI executive committee consists of the following officers: President, VIce President, Secretary/Treasurer and Immediate Past President. The NAAEI officers in conjunction with the NAAEI board act in accordance with the bylaws and policies of NAAEI and manage the affairs of the NAA Education Institute.   

Officer elections are held every other year on even numbered years at Apartmentalize. The application for the position of Vice President opens March 15. New applications must be submitted via the approved electronic format no later than April 30th.  Applications received via any alternative method or after the deadline will not be considered.

RE-ELECTION - NAAEI Regional Representative Elections

Current RVPs who wish to run for re-election must be owner/manager/operator and an employee of a member in good standing. RVPs may serve up to two consecutive terms for a total of four years of service.

NAAEI Regional Representative Elections

NAAEI Regional Representatives are elected by NAA Regions. Elections are held every other year on even numbered years at Apartmentalize.

  • Odd numbered regions will hold elections at Apartmentalize on even number years.  Reps will serve two-year terms starting January 1 of the following odd numbered year. 
  • Even numbered regions will hold elections at Apartmentalize on odd number years. Reps will serve two-year terms starting January 1 of the following even numbered year. 
  • NAAEI Reps may serve up to two consecutive terms with a total of four years of service. 

Candidates for NAAEI Reps position must be owner/manager/operator and an employee of a member in good standing. Candidates will submit an application via the approved electronic format no later than April 30th. Applications received via any alternative method or after the deadline will not be considered.

RE-ELECTION - NAA Regional Vice Presidents Elections

Current Regional Representatives who wish to run for re-election must be owner/manager/operator and an employee of a member in good standing. Regional Reps may serve up to four consecutive terms for a total of eight years of service.

NAA Regional Vice President Elections

The Regional Vice President positions reflect NAA’s preference for proportional geographic representation for its members. Unlike other NAA board members, the RVPs are elected by delegates from their respective regions, and they preside over the regional meetings. They are expected to be conversant with the status and activities of the affiliated associations in their region. RVPs also appoint NAA members from their region to serve on NAA standing committees.

  • Odd numbered regions will hold elections at Apartmentalize on even number years.  RVPs will serve two-year terms starting January 1 of the following odd numbered year.

  • RVPs may serve up to four consecutive terms with a total of eight years of service.

Current RVPs who wish to run for re-election will submit a declaration of re-election via the approved electronic format no later than April 30th.  Any new applicant wishing to run for an RVP position will submit an application via the approved electronic format no later than April 30th. Applications received via any alternative method or after the deadline will not be considered.

NAA Officer Elections

The Executive Committee consists of the following officers: Chair of the Board, Chair-Elect, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. The Executive Committee acts in accordance with the bylaws and policies of the NAA and manages the affairs of the association.  
Officer elections are held annually at the Assembly of Delegates in November. The application for the position of Secretary and declaration forms for current officers (Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary) seeking re-election open June 1st. The Chair-Elect is automatically appointed as Chair and is not required to declare their intention for re-election. New applications and declarations forms must be submitted via the approved electronic format no later than July 31st.  Applications received via any alternative method or after the deadline will not be considered.
